Acupuncture is a system of medicine which has been used in the Far East to restore, promote and maintain good health for over 2,500 years. It became the subject of serious study in the West in the late 1950s. Its practice has gradually developed and been refined over many years.

Its roots lie in the Daoist philosophy of change, growth, balance and harmony which incorporates the principles of natural law and the movements of life - yin and yang, the five elements, the organ system and the meridian network along which acupuncture points are located. It is an holistic approach to health and management of disease, improving the overall wellbeing of the patient rather than specific symptoms. One of its strengths is that it can be used alongside western medicine and is compatible with chiropractic and osteopathy. It is safe and effective and does not come with any unpleasant side effects.

Western or medical acupuncture is a more recent development practiced predominantly by doctors and physiotherapists which uses acupuncture techniques as an adjunct to their existing scope of practice.

The intention of my treatment is to restore and maintain wellbeing and is provided for you in a safe, caring and relaxing environment. Dietary and lifestyle changes are also recommended. I am happy to have a FREE informal chat to discuss your suitability for Acupuncture treatment.

I work from the Yorke Clinic in Redhill within easy reach of Reigate, Merstham, Earlswood, Salfords, Outwood, Nutfield, Bletchingley and Dorking.
