Heidi Bader Acupuncture Practitioner in Redhill and Coulsdon Surrey
I grew up on a farm in Surrey and have always had an interest in natural forms of medicine and healing. My horticultural background instilled in me a love on the natural world.
My interest in Chinese Medicine and training as an Acupuncture Practitioner started after spending some time in China in 1992 and observing how the traditional forms of medicine were used. The attraction of this form of medicine is its ability to work with the laws of nature/thus enabling the body to help itself.
I began my training at the College of Integrated Chinese Medicine in Reading in 1996 graduating and gaining my Licentiate in 1999. This training combines both the theory of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Conventional Medical Sciences.
I am a member of the British Acupuncture Council and an active member of my Regional Practitioner Group which supports the Continual Professional Development of qualified practitioners.
I have been an active member of the Regional Practitioner Group based in Ripley, Surrey. The group supports the Continual Professional Development of qualified practitioners and I have helped run this on a voluntary basis for over 10 years. Our group has thrived and expanded over the years and we have one of the largest groups in the UK.
We welcome Practitioners who have come from different backgrounds who practice different styles of acupuncture. The group gives Practitioners the opportunity to network with each other and ‘talk shop’. We usually have an interesting topic for discussion. This can be anything from how we approach and treat diseases using the different styles of acupuncture, practice management and case histories, to updating ourselves with recent changes in the profession issued by the British Acupuncture Council
I have a number of local Practitioners who are trained in other therapies who I am happy to refer on to where necessary. These include McTimoney Chiropractic, Structural Specialists, Deep Tissue Massage, Physio/Pilates instructors, counsellors and Nutritional Therapists.
I have many hobbies – I love anything outdoors, gardening, camping, dancing, cooking for family and friends, walking and qi gong.
